Fractured Tooth Restored in 2 Hours: A Real Case

Image
A front tooth fractured at the root can, in select cases, be treated the same day using guided implant placement, the socket shield technique, and a digitally milled provisional crown. The case below was completed in two hours, from fracture to a finished, matching crown. Dr. Inamdar's Dental Studio, a dental clinic in Mumbai built around a fully digital, in-house workflow, which is what allowed this case to move from diagnosis to a finished restoration within the same visit, rather than across several appointments spread over weeks.  The Case The patient had received a root canal and a metal-free crown on a front tooth roughly ten years earlier. A sudden fall fractured that same tooth at the crown margin. The crown itself stayed intact, and the patient repositioned it temporarily to avoid an open gap in the smile before reaching the clinic. On examination, the root beneath the old crown had fractured in a way that made the natural tooth unsalvageable. An implant, placed the same...

Can Everyone Get Same Day Teeth? What Determines Eligibility?

Image
One of the first questions patients ask when considering dental implants is: "Can I get fixed teeth on the same day?" The idea of walking into a clinic with missing or failing teeth and leaving with a functional smile is certainly appealing. Advances in implant dentistry have made same day teeth a reality for many patients. However, one important fact is often overlooked: Not every patient is automatically a candidate for same day teeth. Same day teeth, often referred to as immediate loading, involve placing dental implants and attaching a fixed provisional restoration within a short period after surgery. Instead of waiting several months without teeth, suitable patients may receive a temporary fixed solution immediately. The objective is to restore: Appearance Function Confidence while allowing the implants to heal. Who May Be Suitable Candidates? M...

She came to us in Mumbai through a reference, looking for a natural-looking  smile makeover . Her expectation was simple — something that felt real, not artificial. Something that would last. What stood out immediately was her mindset. She  wasn’t  rushing into treatment. She wanted to understand what was being done and why. Listen to her -  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fd8N3CxMAPo Looking Beyond Just a Smile As part of our evaluation, we  didn’t  just rely on photos or basic impressions. Using 3D planning and digital tools, we studied her case in detail. That’s  when we noticed something important. Her bite had collapsed. This  wasn’t  just a cosmetic concern anymore. A collapsed bite affects function — how you eat, speak, and even how your face looks over t...
